On the 20th of every month, Incarnate Word volunteers feed, clothe, respect, nurture and serve the homeless as Jesus asks us in Matthew 25:40. Clients of Sts. Peter & Paul include residents of the Soulard emergency shelter, individuals who are experiencing homelessness, and individuals and families living on limited or fixed incomes. Volunteers can donate food and/or prepare and serve the meals in the parish kitchen and dining room located in the Meals Hall of Sts. Peter & Paul parish at 816 Allen Ave. St. Louis, MO 63104.

Incarnate Word volunteers make a Tuna Casserole at their home, and the casseroles are dropped off in the freezer that is located on the second floor, right above the Parish Office in the upstairs lobby (accessible via stairs or elevator next to the Parish Office). The casseroles can be dropped off any day before the month's deadline (2nd Thursday of the month). When dropping off, please sign in on the sheet provided and write the serve date on the top of the pan (date will be on the sign in sheet). Pans and lids for your use are available next to the freezer.
Through the St. Patrick Casserole Program, church groups and thousands of volunteers from across St. Louis provide daily hot meals to the homeless. St. Patrick Center supplies recipes (one for each day of the month) and 12" x 10" aluminum casserole pans to the volunteers, who purchase ingredients, assemble the recipes and freeze the casseroles. Volunteer drivers then drive the frozen casseroles to St. Patrick Center, where they are heated in the ovens and served piping hot with salad, bread, fruit and desserts. These procedures ensure that health-and-safety standards are met. The casseroles are served for lunch in St. Patrick Center’s Shamrock Club and dinner at St. Patrick Center’s transitional living center, its Women’s Night Program and at its evening relapse-prevention meetings.

The primary mission of these volunteers is to educate on life issues, to encourage prayerful witness, to collect donations and raise funds for local pro-life organizations, and to encourage involvement in pro-life legislation.
The Incarnate Word Pro-Life Committee is devoted to furthering respect for all human life from conception to natural death. The Bishop's Pastoral Plan states that it is the responsibility of all Christians to work to end the atrocities of abortion and euthanasia. We invite you to become an active member of our Incarnate Word Pro-Life Committee and welcome your suggestions and support. We thank all members of the Incarnate Word Parish for their support of the mission of our organization.
