I was born the third of four children of working class folk, growing up in Florissant (St Ferdinand Church/School). Entered the high school seminary at St. Louis Prep North (first graduation class 1969, yeah). Ordained from Kenrick Seminary in 1977 by Cardinal John Carberry, along with 17 other men. This group included your former deceased pastor Fr Tim Vowels. Since then I have been a priest in St Louis City and County, Dutzow/Marthasville, St Charles, Bonne Terre. My two last assignments were as pastor of St Peter Church in old town St. Charles for 9 years, and more recently 4 years in Bonne Terre/French Village. I have had residence for the past two years at Our Lady of Providence in Crestwood. My interest over the years are things like bird watching, collecting regional milk bottles, a bit of golf, reading history, old movies, family genealogy. I am retired, but then a priest like a parent…..can never truly retire. Age related deafness seems to run in my family. If you talk into my right ear, a good bet is you will not get much of my attention. My left ear is a bit better… but still not great. I am blessed to be a priest of this venerable Archdiocese. Grateful to be here with you.
